Miconvey recently played a key role in supporting the academic workshop “An Update in Head & Neck Surgery: A Live Surgical Experience with Ultrasonic Device,” hosted at Hospital Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) on September 4, 2025. The full-day event brought together ENT specialists, surgical trainees, and healthcare professionals for an immersive learning experience focused on ultrasonic surgical techniques.
At the heart of the workshop were live operating theatre sessions led by expert surgeons Mr. (Dr.) Khizuan Abdul Kadir and Mr. (Dr.) Fong Voon Hoong, who performed procedures such as tonsillectomy and parotidectomy using the Miconvey AUTOFORCE™ Ultrasonic Surgical System. These sessions offered participants a rare opportunity to observe surgical technique in real-time, while gaining clinical insight into the system’s performance in dissection, energy precision, and intraoperative control.
During a dedicated segment on the Miconvey ultrasonic platform, attendees were introduced to key features of the device including controlled thermal spread, smooth tissue separation, and stable hemostasis, all of which contribute to safer and more efficient outcomes in ENT procedures.
More than just a product showcase, the event reflected Miconvey’s strong commitment to surgical education and clinician empowerment. By supporting live, skill-building environments like this, the company continues to invest in the professional development of surgeons through practical exposure and expert guidance.
The energy and enthusiasm throughout the workshop underscored a shared goal among participants, that’s to advance clinical excellence through innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning which are values at the core of Miconvey’s mission.
